Thirsk Racecourse
Alpha Signs was recently asked to carry out work replacing the old racecourse signs here at Thirsk. We have supplied the racecourse with a variety of different signs from plastic, aluminium & hand-painted wood...
On the large roadside signs we used white-faced aluminium which isn't affected by weather & will look the same today as it will in 10 years. We fitted an aluminium channel to these to act as a slider system so the times & dates can be changed for each meeting.
In the paddock areas we fitted a number of traditional handpainted wooden signs fitted with wrought iron brackets...
On the pavilion building we fitted individual letters to the brickwork, these are mirrored steel with 1" returns. Each sign has the new Thirsk logo of the horse.
We also provided new signs for the James Herriot Hall. These are letters on locators fastened to aluminium backboard.
